MADEIRA PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

The island of Madeira provides incredible landscapes that are photogenic both day and night.

The Madeira workshop is orientated around the afternoons, and evenings for landscape photography, and into the night for astrophotography.

This Madeira photography workshop aims to offer a far more chilled-out and laid-back approach than the Canary Island workshops with their ultra late-night to early-morning finishes, and advanced astrophotography schedule.

At the start of the Madeira photography workshop, the moon rises around 23:00, meaning we will photograph the sunset and then go on to photo the moonlight in the incredible Fanal Forest, with finish times around 01:00/02:00. In the mid- to later stages of the workshop we will spend a few hours photographing the Milky Way finishing by 02:00/03.00 back at our accommodation.

Mornings can be spent chilling out or relaxing by the pool in the luxury accommodation.

As Madeira can be prone to higher clouds more so than the Canary Islands, if one night is clouded out we may get an early night and undertake a sunrise or two to try and catch the mist at the Fanal Forest.

We will undertake two post-productions sessions and, in their place on the alternative days, undertake some of the easier lavada trails to waterfalls and photogenic features (this will be designed around group ability as to which locations are visited).
